Four poster with canopy and curtains, 2003

Main frame and posts are English oak. Brazilian purpleheart top finial. Canopy frame supports are laminated poplar. The central spindles/balusters are also made of the purpleheart, while the others are pink ivory. Wild Chinese silk for the canopy has faded after 20 years or so - degraded by UV light on the side where most light falls; the purpleheart is now brown, and the even the pink ivory not so vivid after 20 years
