Laburnum oyster veneer tray, 2011
Tool for cutting the oysters courtesy of Dependable Graham in Wolverhampton, who now has the tray. I made an error putting these together. All these pieces were cut at an angle (like cutting a French baguette) from the same laburnum branch, but they needed to be kept in strict order as they were cut, and the alignment maintained so that they would all reflect light in the same direction ("chatoyancy")
