Plucking the first strings

The instrument is ready to make sounds, although it doesn't settle into anything like maturity for many months. Nevertheless it's an exciting moment. I generally play Les Barricades Mysterieuses over and over, because that is the first music I really heard played on a harpsichord. The temporary jack rail is in place - making it easier to access the jacks and plectra which inevitably need plenty of adjustments during the first weeks
