Four-poster canopy arms
Showing how the curtain pelmet stiffens the whole structure and carries the canopy arms. A metal stud is screwed into the top of the corner post, with a 1/2" copper tube dropped over it. A triangular brass plate holds the oak pelmet frame together, and rests on the top of the copper tube, whilst the stud passes through it and the canopy arms, allowing a nut to hold it all together.
