Bedding chest, 1974

Made from skipped wood - probably Keruing - although the legs and bits of the frame are 'proper' mahogany. Keruing doesn't finish very well, so the surface is quite rough. I like this piece in spite of its imperfections - enough to rescue it and one other piece from a house in France where it had spent the last 30 years, and return it to the UK in the back of my car
